Some things I wish my CR-V had from the factory:

1. Rear cargo & rear seat power outlets (not USB)
2. Full LED interior lights
3. LED fog lights
4. Wireless phone charging pad
5. map pocket on back of driver's seat
6. Glovebox LED light
7. US heater rear seats
8. US panoramic roof
9. powered auto folding side mirrors
10. AUX port
11. Full power (2.5A) USB ports all around
12. Means to easily switch between two Bluetooth profiles on the infotainment system

Air cooled seats. Gets hot here in the summer and I would have gotten an EX-L if that option was available. Without the cooling, I'm not a fan of the leather seats.

Power lift gate -- Couldn't get this without the leather interior.

Mini storage hammocks in the rear cargo area directly behind the wheel wells. Had this on my 2001 Odyssey and they were a very handy place to stow things.

A better sound system that doesnt sound like my old 1992 dx civic hatchback.
I got the EX-L and the sound is horrible. Its not even adequate. Just trash for a $32k car.
I was surprised it wasn't a little more high end. For me it wasn't such a big deal, but then again, anything would be better than my first car: AM single speaker radio in a 1965 Ford Galaxy 2dr fastback.

This... I was pretty disappointed to discover that the sound system sounded exactly like my 19 year old gen 1 CR-V. It definitely gets the stink-eye from me, especially since this is basically a 30k car.

While it may not be up to par for a $30k plus car, I've been driving my old (now daughters) 2002 CR-V for a few days. Let me say the new one is MILES above the older one. Maybe you need to tweak the settings and change your source. Best sound for me seems to be boosting all three tone controls to 2-3 notches above ctr. Best source seems to be Pandora or Music library from phone using CarPlay. Sirius sound is lacking.

I wish my CR-V Touring had NO sun roof...what a waste! You can't order one without it.

I wish it had USB ports all around....oh wait...it does! How wonderful, now I don't need those big old 12V outlets!

I wish it had all the safety systems that are normally only found in much more expensive cars...oh wait...it does! ummmmmm

I wish he had a turbo engine that had great power and still got well over 30 MPG....oh wait......it does!

I am that funny guy who thinks its amazing and actually has more than I could ever wish for.

I HATE sunroofs. I don't use them and hate the space they take up. Just sit in a LX and see how much more spacious it feels...that 2 inches or so does make a difference. I resigned myself to living with it in the 2017 but I was so stubborn when I bought my 2007 that I got the base model to avoid it. Had to give up a lot of features that I missed from my earlier Odyssey.

I would gladly do without the sunroof also. I only use it in the summer. I crack it open along with a window or two to help cool down the interior when I am parked.

If you would have spent the money you could have had most of those things. Check out the Acura or Lexus. You buy cheap you get cheap.

I'd like a software patch so my audio source wouldn't switch to the phone every time carplay starts or switch on Pandora on the other phone, just because it's in the car... doesn't even play through speakers half the time, just comes on the phone in "stealth mode" meaning I have to open the app, then close it to keep it from playing through the phone! Oh - and not having to manually (re)pair the bluetooth ipod every single time I want to use it would be nice.

A LED in the glove box would be nice too.

Not true at all. In Canada we get the LED interior lights (almost all are LED), US rear heated seats (outboard only), heated steering wheel & Panoramic Roof & 12V cargo outlet and pay less after accounting for the currency exchange basis than you do in the US. So in Canada we are buying cheap, but getting expensive features.

Also, you don't get a wireless phone charging pad, full power 2.5A USB ports and some of the other minor items on the list the OP posted even when you spend more money on a 'higher end' car like an Acura or Lexus.

it's more like when you buy a Honda CR-V you buy smart (and cheap!).

I would add front ventilated seats for cooling, but your list looks very complete.

I also drive a CR-V and love it. Here in the States my guess is they want to keep a larger gap between the Honda and the Acura. If my Honda had everything the Acura had I wouldn't have a reason to think of getting an Acura.

I wish my EX-L had a sub-woofer, or at least came pre-wired for one, and LED headlights and fog lights

I will upgrade the lights myself.

I wish Honda would give you more gauges. It's my wife's 4th Honda, and none have a full gauge package. A volt meter, oils pressure, and a boost gauge would be great additions.
I doubt that we will ever see any of them. The typical owner would have no idea what the gauges would tell them and trying to explain them would be difficult at best. Many just need the lights but some haven't figured out that red lights means STOP.
