I wish our 2017 CR-V had a front camera. I have difficulty seeing a curb on the passenger side of the car because of the height of the right front fender/A-post intersection. If I don't specifically note the curb configuration before I reach an intersection, I cannot see obstructions that might damage my rear wheel if I make a sharp right turn. When approaching perpendicular parking from the right side it is difficult to accurately position the car between the lines when there are no cars on either side because I cannot see the lines as I approach.
I also wish the navigation system had a volume control that is easy to access. The nav system in our previous car had one touch access to the volume control that could be adjusted on the fly. For some reason the volume on the CR-V nav occasionally resets itself to nearly zero at the most inopportune times. In a recent cross-country trip the volume reset itself in Phoenix, Dallas, and near Atlanta. It is particularly bad when you are in an unfamiliar large city and you are counting on the nav to guide you though a spaghetti bowl and all of a sudden you cannot hear any of the voice prompts. Making matters worse is that the volume cannot be reset without stopping the car. Plus there is an insane number of completely un-intuitive screens to navigate though to reset the volume. Try doing it without the manual. Good luck. BTW, I have not been able to re-create the problem on demand. We were on a 6,500 mile trip and the volume reset at least five times. Can't figure out why and of course it works perfectly for the dealer.
On our previous car, the steering wheel would move up and the seat would slide back when you opened the driver door and then return to position after you got in. It would remember not only the seat position, but also the steering wheel position, mirror position, and radio station. Just having the seat move when changing drivers is not enough.
Of course we would like a light in the glove box and it would be nice to have a phono-plug input to the stereo system and a factory-installed heated steering wheel.
This is not a high-end luxury car so a number of the convenience items are not there, but for a dressed up econo-box (ours is a Touring) it is pretty nice and I like it.
