Idle reset question

Hi,

I have a question regarding idle reset for my 2015 CRV. My understanding is when you do idle reset, you ensure anything that draws power needs to be turned off and obviously don't touch the gas pedal.

What would happen if I leave something on when the idle reset is happening? Would the new idle be whatever it was during the idle reset process?

Thanks,
John

If its an insignificant draw (like a radio) don't worry.

If its a bigger drain on the engine (like A/C, or lights, or cooling fans), you are not supposed to count the time those are on in the 5 minute time-span that it takes for the ECU to 'learn'.

Any doubt, just do it again.
