I'v been troubleshooting problems on my 2000 Crv and I purchased a new ignition coil. In the process of trying to remove the old one, I began to strip one of the screws holding the coil in place. My new coil didn't come with replacement screws. How can I get it out and is there somewhere I can purchase new screws?

I don't have a model with a distributor, so I'm not certain exactly what the screw looks like. But I keep a set of Screw Extractors aka SpeedOuts or EasyOuts on hand because I have a low tolerance for the frustration of stripped screws lol. These things are like reverse drill bits and dig into the head to unscrew the body. If you have some room where a small power driver can fit, this may be helpful. As for replacements, once you get the body out you can bring it to a local hardware store and they can assist identifying the size needed.

Good luck !
