Hi, I have a 2017 CRV SX 2.4 4WD (our 3rd CRV) bought in the Philippines and is now en route to Germany. Does anyone have experience registering a non-EU CRV in the EU?

Nobody has asked that question before afaik.

Determining whether you can legally register an imported vehicle is best done before you ship it. I have no idea whether it will meet Euro emission or crash worthiness standards.

The current/ latest generation CRV has only just gone on sale in Europe. It's Germany it only comes in hybrid and 1.5 turbo spec not 2.4.

Honestly I am concerned that it will be impossible to register it. If you are US Military that may provide you with an exemption.

Thanks! Yes, hoping for the exemption! One key question is on parts as I wonder if they are interchangeable (EU and Philippine models)? The car arrived in Germany but with damage to one of the door handles so will probably need a replacement.
