My 2016 CRV built in Malaysia started vibrating on acceleration when going uphill. The Honda agent identified it as inner LH (passenger side) CV joint failure.
The mechanic that diagnosed the failure advised me rather take the the car to an independent CV specialist because Honda parts were 5 times the price of the aftermarket parts.
He also said this model has a "problem" with CV joints. A trustworthy independent CV specialist confirmed the failure but advised of an short supply globally of the replacement parts , I was able to confirm this is the case with a two month lead time for new parts. Is this not low Km for a CV joint to fail,? the warranty expired at 90K km and Honda have said its not a part failure but wear and tear.
Anybody else have this problem ?
