Put in a racing engine.;) Seriously, unless you are going to rebuild that engine (age/mileage) you don't want to stress it by running it at or near the present red line too often. It's a CRV, not an si.

Increase redline?

What is the point? Are you driving on the autobahn?
New CAM? Or just tweaking for racing your CR-V???

I believe that the redline is normally programmed into the engine controller.
Not sure what Honda does or if an aftermarket device could change it. More than likely you will need to write new software or buy it from someone that did. I would not do it!

There is not much point in doing so anyhow unless other engine upgrades are made. You will not get more HP or torque without other mods.
Like a new cam or manifolds so it can breathe better.

It will not last a long time at a higher redline. I try to keep it under redline always. I Do not think our CR-V has ever been anywhere near redline even for a very short period of time. Although who knows what my wife does when she drives. I am sure she would have complained "Honey why is it making so much noise"

A CR-V???
