I need to replace the black plastic piece (actuator valve) of the turbo assembly ( part# 18900-5PA-A01) on my 2018 crv. I can't find the piece by itself, and getting the whole turbo assembly will set me back $1k. Since some civics share the same assembly (despite different tuning), would it make sense to get the same piece from a civic for less than $200 (part#K6T52372)? Or is this part specifically designed for each model?

Thanks!

That's the EGR valve actuator. Very strange to have a failure.

Can I ask a dumb question-when car is under warranty why not let dealer do it?

It broke after a silly incident......the bolt tab on one side broke. So it can still be attached with two bolts. I was also given the option to epoxy the assembly together. I'm not sure how safe of a fix that would be.

reason why it's best to stay out from under the hood and messing with things on a brand new vehicle because you just voided your engine warranty.

And fixing a broken stud issue isnt hard.

Epoxy isnt going to hold up for something that's bolted on.
