Hello everyone, I am a new honda owner and just bought a 2000 honda crv. I did one transmission drain and flush with Genuine Honda ATF and spent about $50 on transmission fluid ($12 a quart). I've read online that Idemitsu makes Genuine Honda ATF but the two fluids are slightly different. Does anyone know about this?

If you buy online and buy more than one quart at a time the prices are about $9 per quart.
Amazon is currently selling a four pack of DW-1 for US $34.50 with free shipping.

I've been using Valvoline MaxLife ATF in my '98 CRV ( which currently has 285,000 miles) for seven years without an issue...same thing with my '05 Pilot. I prefer it to Honda's fluid and it's much cheaper to boot..$17.89 for the gallon container at Walmart.
