One little thing that I think Honda got wrong is that there is no way to tell if the engine is running after a remote start. Most of the other vehicles that I've seen keep the parking lights on so you can tell that the engine is running after several minutes. Note that this is not a question of "did the engine die," but rather "has the 10 minutes remote start expired?"

FWIW many folks feel that running lights or parking lights draw attention to the vehicle when it is warming up, increasing the possibility that it could be stolen.

a possible workaround would be to set a timer in your house? (smartphone, oven/microwave timer, sand dial)

How would you go about stealing a remote started CR-V? :confused2: You would need the fob to keep it from shutting off once you got inside.
