I have tried search but does anyone know or have pics of the jack stand points used for the car to rest on if you car has running boards. The original points are now covered by running boards so Id imagine you have to use the frame rails but is there a specific spot? Our oem frame rails appear hallowed out so I don’t want to risk bending

Gen2 Vs have central lift points front & rear. Use a floor jack to lift the car, then just lower the car enough to STEADY the vehicle as it sits on the jack stands. This should provide adequate safety and stability, even if they rest on the running board supports.

The rear lift point is the center sub frame between the suspension arms. The front lift point is the subframe in front (there is an arrow on the plastic bumper cover, under there).

In the front, I often place jackstands on the tow hooks instead of the side sills, those are stout enough to hold the car up.
