Not so much noise, but if that's a side effect, I'll take it. I'm really looking to increase performance and mpg.You don't get too much of a noticeable performance increase with drop-in filters anymore, IMO. Factory designers have maximized and tuned the intake airflow already.
There is also a risk of damaging the sensors in the intake if you ever over-oil the K&N.
If it's induction noise you seek, eliminating the 'silencer' incorporated into the air tract (Hans471+ will remind me the name of that resonator) will make it louder...
