My key fob battery was running low so I went to my local batteries plus store. They replaced the batter end of October. End of January, the car tells me the battery is running low. Went back to batteries plus and replaced it again. Three weeks later, same thing. Batteries plus says not their problem. I went to the Honda dealer replaced the battery and so far, no problems. Moral of the story is it does not always pay to go the cheaper route.

I used Batteries Plus many times over the years, never had an issue. Fob battery was a 1/year thing.

(When I was working, I unlocked the car via the fob 10 times a day....)

If you buy batteries at a place that has a high turnaround you should be fine. I would steer away from no name brands and non lithium batteries. Lithium batteries may cost a few pennies more but they last longer.
