I'm considering replacing my brake light bulbs with LED'S. But due to them requiring less power wouldn't the vehicle sense this and think the bulbs are burned out ? I saw that replacing turn signal bulbs with LED's you also need to replace the flasher (so it doesn't flash super fast-like we get when a turn signal bulb is out).
I have no interest to have to wire a resister onto the leads.
Is there a replacement LED bulb and not cost a fortune ?
Forgot, we own a 2008 CR-V EX-L .

Replacing the brake lights with LED is one of the best upgrade in regards about safety as the faster the driver behind you sees that you have the brake light on the faster they can react to it. As for the system to see if it has burned bulbs. I do not think that it will trigger the burnt bulb indicator. For the flashers or turn signal bulbs. To get away from having to resistors you need to get a flasher that is meant for LED. Even me I am not keen in installing a resistor as it creates heat & it might damage the housing for the signals.
