I think he is talking about the many little DRLs that goes around the headlights. I can see where they are probably not individually replaceable.

Not likely that ALL of them would stop operating all at once. They may be grouped into a circuit, so look it up and see where the power comes from. Use a voltmeter at the headlamp plug or whatever fuse controls the circuit.

This is NOT a common issue.
