I am wanting to make my own fishing rod carrier rather than spend 150+ to haul my one-piece rods to the beach. The idea is that I could find an I-bolt that would screw into the roof rack attachment inserts, and then secure a pvc rod holder to those I-bolts. I'm having trouble finding the bolt size when I look at the parts lists for different roof racks.
