Hi All,

I'm looking at a few remote start options for my 2011.

This option from MPC uses your factory fob and seems to be a fairly easy plug and play:
https://www.amazon.com/MPC-Complete-Remote-Start-2007-2011/dp/B072BXS36T
instructions:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/mpcstore/tipsheets/Txxxx-MDX-CRV-RS0.pdf

The feedback from Amazon users seems fairly positive. This method uses your lock button on the key fob, so the horn will beep when automatically starting.
It seems there are ways to prevent the beep - but that's what's giving me hesitation regarding this remote start.

Has anyone tried other fairly easy-to-install options? My time and budget (and, admittedly, car knowledge) are all fairly limited.

Thanking you in advance.

Evan

The Remote Engine Starter System is designed to provide convenience for Honda owners living in cold or hot climate conditions as on my perception.

Hi Evan,

I also trying to find a good after market for my CR-V. besides MPC, I have found another which is warmcarnow, unable to post a link. just google it. Both of them, MOC and Warmcarnow are selling Fortin system.

it seems to me easy to install due to my electronics development background but this guy had also updated installation video on youtube. I am this near to order but I have a question, once we install it will the doors be closed after starting the car. Actually installation of after market remote start system requires to bypass Vehicle Immobilizer, which seems to me dangerous if it also bypasses OEM's security system (leave the doors open). Anyone can confirm it who is using.
