We just purchased a 2017 CR-V Touring.

The last couple days at a time between 6pm and 7pm, a noise is generated from the low pressure fuel pump at the fuel tank. It is a humming noise and runs for about 1/2 hour.

I know it is the fuel pump because when I put my hand on it, the tone of the noise changes slightly and I can feel it. This is with the vehicle off and has been parked in the garage for a number of hours.

Is this normal?

Is this common?

I have a call in to the dealership and waiting for a call back.

I'll reply to my own message in case anyone else experiences this and has questions.

I received a call back from the dealership. It is normal. It is the evaporative system purging itself. Totally normal.

The forum should have a sticky called "Normal Noises" and post your list.
