Can anyone tell me the “load-in height” of the CR-V?
In other words, opening the rear hatch/tailgate what is the vertical measurement from the cargo area floor to the ground?

I’ve googled my fingers nearly off and the closest thing I can find is an oblique reference to a very nice, “low load-in height” - but no actual figure.

Thanks in advance!

Top of the bumper to ground is 25" on an AWD which is 0.4 in higher than FWD in overall height. Different than the post below, but mine was from the bottom edge of the cargo door to a concrete floor. As he says, the floor has 2 heights but you still must get over the bumper. Happy with the car.

The distance from the ground to the bay edge is 26.5 inches. The cargo area floor is recessed downward about 2 inches although the cargo floor can be raised to be flat with the edge as an alternative.

If the reason you ask is because you are thinking of buying one, then buy an LX (if in the US) or don't buy one at all. With the issue going on here I cannot recommend it: https://www.crvownersclub.com/forum...dilution-associated-matters-_-volume-1-a.html

Edit: Let me clarify. I have a 2018 Touring FWD. 26.5 inches is the distance from the ground that you would have to clear to load something into the cargo bay. The top of the bumper is lower but there is a raised section higher than that.

Thank you both for your helpful responses!
Our two dogs (Rottweilers) ride in crates in the back of our Odyssey and have no trouble hopping in. If we move to the V, we’ll probably have one in the middle and one in back.

Now to investigate that other issue....
