I had a 1997 CRV (I wish I still had it) on which I was getting 22 MPG, I could go 300 miles on a tank of gas. I recently donated my 1997 (I wish I still had it) and purchased a 2006. On the 2006 I am only getting 12 to 15 MPG. A round trip, to and from work, is less than 5 miles so that is the only thing keeping me from going broke with this vehicle. What can I do to improve the MPG. I want my 1997 back!

Has your 'new' 06 been properly maintained? Change out those spark plugs for sure with the kind that your owner's manual lists in the specs. Engine Air Filter condition? Tire Pressure correct? Using Top Tier gasoline?
