Hello.

I've had my 03 CRV for about 6 months now. 187K miles and runs like a top.

It idles around 600rpm, according to the tach. Almost every Honda, 2 and 4 wheels, I've ever owned idles closer to 800rpm.

I wouldn't pay it any mind, but, after driving, when I get to my destination and shift into park or neutral, the engine often (maybe 25% of the time) has the slightest "stumble" or "shudder", where the rpms seem to dip slightly and flutter before returning to normal.

It's never stalled of dome anything worse. It does it with or without the a/c on, so it's not related to the a/c running, like some cars I've had.

Has anyone had a similar experience or figured out a cause, if so? I'm wondering if the idle is just set a bit low.

Thanks for any input.

Jay

Could be dirty throttle body, could be valves out of adjustment, could be spark plugs with a wide gap (or, not Iridium).
