I own a 1996 Honda CRV. Love it but? Recently took it to a automotive electrician for electrical fault. He replaced the distributor cap etc but while testing engine cut out fuse failed and lost all water. Discovered that heater radiator leaking. Needs to be replaced, currently heater bypassed. Our climate not THAT severe. Is there an alternative to very costly fix for what is now an old but good car?

Welcome! If you are handy and have the tools, you could do the replacement yourself. It is a job, but not what I would call overwhelming. You could save a heap of money that way. Get yourself a copy of the factory service manual to read up on the procedure. Anyway, good luck! I have some friends there. They just posted pics of their latest crawfishing trip. Geez, those thing look tasty, and they are huge!
