The car should have never passed the certification process. When I got the car home I started to notice scratches in the paint a large chunk of rubber missing from the side wall of the tire none of the manuals no floor mats, oh ya and about two quarts of gas in the oil. If they are supposed to replace the oil as part of the certification, how sitting in the used car lot? did that much gas find it's way into the oil whi

I was looking for a list of CPO items that they check, didn't find it either on a Honda corporate site or two dealers' sites. Things are not the same as they once were. Sounds as if the Certified process was created by the dealer....

Did you investigate what is included/verified in a Certified used car? If any of the checks were not done (or if something like that tire was overlooked) challenge the dealer on it. (AWD CR-Vs need tires replaced as a set preferably)

Call the dealer on Monday, post back and tell us what they said. Also 'ask if calling Honda customer service would help your case'. (Sometimes 'tattling' can strike fear into a dealer...) Be civil but firm at ALL TIMES.

Can anyone help me understand this please. In addition to this the dealership paid off my loan . but the check amount was exactly $3251.00 less than an actual customer buy back.
