May I suggest:

etrailer.com should have the plug-n-play trailer light harness as well.

What type of boat? Flat bottom Jon boat maybe?

I have one of these HF trailers (no boat).......handy as a pocket on a shirt.

Hitches get rusty......they're made of high carbon steel and constantly exposed to the worst of elements. I'd bet 10-15 minutes with a wire brush and a rust preventing spray paint would have it looking almost new. Works on the Draw-Tite hitch on our RAV4. I'll have to get down on my hands/knees/back and remove that fiber panel to inspect the Curt hitch.......because the crossbar is hidden.....does not stick out like a sore thumb.

After installing the hitch and before replacing that fiber panel on the V, I sprayed some of this stuff on the hitch, especially at the bolts.(y)

chain wax

This stuff is similar to Cosmoline.......forms a protective coating.

You will have to get on your hands and knees to see where you trimmed that sound deadening material. With regard to the facia, just make 2 parallel cuts and push/fold the plastic piece up behind the bumper facia. The Curt hitch crossbar is completely hidden.
