You can buy an accessory leather steering wheel cover from Honda accessories, or an aftermarket (Wheelskins is the best) one. Laces on, takes an hour or so, and much less expensive. I would never mess with the OE wheel, too much risk of issues with the airbag. Also requires dealer assistance with the airbag. On the mirror, you don't have to replace a windshield, just have an auto glass installer change the mirrors if the mount is different. A solvent and some heat removes the old mount, and the new one is installed with a special adhesive. The same process is used when you have a broken windshield replaced. Works fine and will last as long as the original.
