Good evening everyone

I've just bought a 2005 Sport AWD AT. I've only driven in 60 miles so far, and it comes to me with a full history and its in pretty good condition.

At 80,366 miles it hasn't been overused.

Is there anything that I ought to keep an eye out for?

I'll (hopefully) have the car for quite some time, so hopefully I'll get to know you all.

Check whatever advisories exist on the MOT, if any.

Also, only use genuine Honda fluids - anything other than those will cause you angst.

I would probably change out all fluids for good measure regardless of service history especially coolant and transmission

another question, if that's cool: the steering wheel controls and the window buttons aren't illuminated -- is that the norm or is it mine?

i used to own Jeep Grand Cherokees and Commanders, comfort incarnate, but after a 500 mile round trip yesterday the CRV was great. I used half the fuel as well, which is a total bonus these days!

On remote startup everything stays blacked out until you press the brake pedal ant start button

They wont be until you turn the headlights on.

Check your fuses/relays

being a 2005 I suspect the controls don't light up
Import market was a little slow to include frivolous lighting that "domestic" had as normal
That being said I have needed to replace Dodge switch sets out but never Honda

Depending on what you are after on all models there are lots of minor and major mods you can do ( not boy racer ) - or yea if you wish
