I had the first airbag recall performed a few years back and Honda contacted me in April for a new airbag recall. I called for an appointment and they had the work performed the same day...from time I received the notice in the mail to the completion of work was less than 24 hours.
Even though I bought my CR-V used, I am glad I updated the ownership info with Honda Corporate so that I am notified for any recall issues.
Just had the second one done in the Wife's CRV few months back. I don't expect Takata to still be in business in about 5 years, tops. Several other companies have made their way into the market after the largest recall. One company here in Arizona is adding another new 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility should be completed in about a year.
