Huh Honda logo rims are like the number one rims to likely get stolen also HPD are on the top of the list along with accords rims. Aftermarket rims are probably better or just get two different wheel locks and not from Honda every jdm fan boy has them. Make sure you keep receipts for the insurance company just in case. I am from NYC for source.

I’ve never heard of hpd until a few weeks ago looking for wheels. I have never seen or heard of oem wheels being stolen. Speaking for my area. I think the thief’s are too stupid and think they only work on that one type of car.:) thanks for the advice though.

Thanks for link I’m trying to stick with same size so I don’t have to get new tires. I bookmarked it so I can keep an eye on their sales

When I bough my 2012 Pilot new and when we bought a 2018 CR-V for my wife at the end of December, our Honda dealer had installed wheel locks; it appears that is their practice on all cars they sell. The CR-V also had dealer installed splash guards, cargo mat and cargo shade, all items I would have bought. I did buy all-weather Honda floor mats from Honda Parts World (West Hills Honda d.b.a.):

Yeah, most dlrs. do that automatically now. Costs them very little and they charge $100 or more. Ironically that's the first thing I remove. I had an experience once where I didn't have the proper key for the lug wrench. And the tire dlr. couldn't find one either. Costs me about 4hrs to track one down and I said never again. Besides where I live no one is gonna waste their time to steal OEM wheels esp these hideous Ninja star wheels. Maybe removing the wheel locks would even encourage them so then insurance could buy some decent looking wheels that I might worry about.

I want to get rid of the rims but want Honda logo on them so people aren’t as likely to want to steal. I found these. All specs match 5x114.3 18” 64.1 45mm and the j rating. Any thoughts from group? http://www.collegehillshonda.com/product/42706-F27S-A01.html
I put those on my 2016. Pics are posted in the wheel thread.

I can see where you are coming from. I also doubt wheel theft is a problem for us, but it is a little extra safety. Yes, dealer add-ons are a profit making thing. However, the only cost item on the sticker I had them remove was the charge for Auto Butler. I can take care of polishing our cars every year. I've used Nu Finish polish for years and years. It is much easier to apply without leaving swirl marks than wax and it lasts longer. Bummer on the incorrect lug wrench. I've only had to use mine once in five years. The worst thing was cranking down the spare wheel under the cargo floor of my 2012 Pilot; a PITA. The CR-V will be much handier if I ever had to use the spare.
