I've read the manual and some posts here, but just want clarification (and yes, I've read about some people having to reboot the car to get lighting options to come up): When putting the headlight switch in the Auto position, does it control more than one thing?

Specifically,
  1. Can I leave it on Auto day/night and lights will activate when needed?
  2. Can I leave it on Auto and engine off with no worries about lights staying on without engine running?
  3. Finally, when in Auto mode on the switch selector and in the low-beam position, will it also auto-control hi-beams?

1. Yes
2. Yes. Also, if you don't want the lights to briefly stay on after turning the engine off, set the timer in lighting options to OFF/0.
3. Yes, the dash will have a green headlight indicator with an "A" meaning auto high beams - if this isn't present when the headlights are on at night in the AUTO position, you need to enable auto high beams via procedure and/or reset your car via pulling fuse #18. Also, if you need to manually activate the high beams, just push the stalk forward as normal.
