I was rather peeved that my 2003 Honda CR-V EX had no daytime running lights when I bought the vehicle new in September of 2003.

I don't believe that they were mandated by law back in 2003, but I am certain that some vehicles during that time came with them.

I assumed that this top of the line vehicle would be equipped with daytime running lights, but later found out that there is not even a retrofit for this.

I do not like the idea of having my headlights on whenever I drive, and it is illegal to drive with the parking lights on, but what are my choices?

Your question is what are your choices. You could do what 99% of the cars on the road do during the day time and that is drive without any lights on.

You have many choices.

Drive with no lights like whaap said.
Drive with your lights on all the time.
Don''t drive at all.
Install a DRL module.
Pay someone to install DRL's.
Trade your CRV for something that has DRL's

BTW, 2003 CRV a Top of the Line vehicle? Really? ::rolleyes:
