I think in Britain it's called Compact Recreational Vehicle, whereas the Honda definition is used in USA.

Coldhonda - it really does mean Comfortable Runabout Vehicle, with or without the hyphen. <img src="http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.png" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />
Well....,Someone, made an executive decision to add a hyphen between the r+v, and the decision to NOT do the same between the c+r. Must be a reason and I can’t connect it to “ comfortable runabout vehicle “
Maybe you can ask your source of information about the hyphen ‘s becoming?

Well, I'm not sure about the combat part, but the Super Global Unlimited Task Squad has a tricked out 1st Gen CR-V that they refer to as the Bopper.

http://ultra.wikia.com/wiki/Bopper

And look very, very closely at the wheels. They only have 4 bolts. Which I believe makes it a 1996 Japan only model, as the US 1997 CR-Vs had 5 wheel bolts.

FYI it's somehow related to a Japanese TV show called Ultraman.
And I used to have a link to a larger picture of it, but can't locate it. :(

Oh, and Amazon used to sell a toy version of it: https://goo.gl/gW4qXQ
I found two of those for sale on eBay. :D

Here's the link to one that's used, with multiple pictures:
