I had to dealer install the Oem hitch on my 2012. it turns out the max tongue weigth is 150 lbs. Has anyoner every exceeded this limit and by how much? The hitch is for our Sportrack bike rACK. It holds 4 bikes and with the weight of the adapter to go from a 2 inch receiver to the smaller oem receiver, the weigth of the rack and the 4 bikes, it think I am pushing past the 150 lbs limit.

best option is to change to a class 3 hitch with 2" receiver. then you get 350 or 525 lb tongue weight. however you are probably fine if you are a little over. these are static load ratings and take into account that moment of inertia pulling a trailer that is splitting 1500 lbs between 1 axle and the hitch can cause momentary loads far exceeding 150 lbs. A bike rack is not ever going to produce anywhere near those momentary loads on the hitch.
