I want to put a cargo box on my 2022 CRV. I have an EX-L with a bare roof. I'm talking to a local Thule reseller and they said they could install a custom track for less than the Honda rails (example:

). However they would have to drill holes in the roof, which makes me kinda nervous versus the Honda rails which just install in existing bolt holes under the weather stripping. I assume the honda rails would also get the rack up a bit higher to make sure I clear the moonroof.
What do you y'all think? Is it best to just stick with the Honda rails?
I plan to get Thule aeroblade edge cross bars and feet regardless of which way I go.
If I get Honda rails, do we have a favorite place to buy them?
