I've got a very old 80GB iPod which, when connected to the USB port in the console, only displays the message, "Ok to disconnect". It will never allow me to navigate to the playlists, and there is no control visible on the display of the CRV. Any ideas? thanks

Have you updated the ipod via itunes to the latest software - the CR-V only works with the newest firmware.

I gave up as mine locked up with no warnings so I copied all my music to a USB drive and have had no issues.

Ah...great. I didn't realize it would read off a flash drive. I don't think there's any more current firmware for the iPod. I'll try the stick idea. Thanks for that.

I tried copying an assortment of MP3 files to a flash drive, but there's no recognition of the device. I'm headed to the manual to research an answer. My first suspicion is that the flash drive probably needs to be PC formatted instead of Mac. If anyone watching has a suggestion on how to get the flash drive recognized, lemme know....thanks
