Just got my "Happy Anniversary" email from Honda, and it's the car's first birthday (built two-weeks before I got it).

It's been an interesting year, but a great one as far as the car is concerned.
Other than shipping it to Tampa to have a left-side accelerator installed, I have done only minor things, new seat covers, all-weather mats, replace all interior lights with LEDs.

Absolutely no issues with the car. Have only visited the dealer for the (free) first oil change when the MM told me to (4800 miles).
The mileage was less than expected through the winter, but better than anticipated in the summer, but I didn't buy it for the mileage.
The AWD system handled our Wyoming snow well. It took a little getting used to as I'm used to hard lock 4WD systems.
I paid close to sticker, but considering what's happened since then I'm quite happy with the deal I got. I was astounded at how much I got in trade for my old vehicle, which was apparently purchased by the mechanic who evaluated it (making me feel good, I knew I took good care of that car).

Would I do it again? Absolutely. The car has been everything I hoped it would be.

Agreed. Just over two years and 19k on the clock and the car has matured into an extremely comfortable ride with no major mechanical or electrical issues. Had the wheels swapped out due to tarnishing, one discoloured roof rail replaced and a rusty tailgate strut ball joint, all done under warranty with no fuss.

I should add that the driving dynamics of the Hybrid are so good I shall never go back to standard ICE.

Great to hear. I also had my Hybrid for about a year. 18k miles and no issues, just the recalls and oil and diff change which I do myself. Very happy with it, comfortable for long drives and very good mileage, yes winter mileage is not as good but I also use snow tires which will have more resistance. The mods done were all weather mats and truck mat, LEDs inside and mud guards.

Were you running winter tires? If not, how different was the AWD to other vehicles you have driven?
Im curious, its going to be my first winter with a modern AWD SUV. I wonder how much has changed.

This was with the stock Hankooks. Not the greatest but I'll run them till they wear out.
They ride a bit harshly on pavement, and are a little skittish in rain, but their performance in moderate snow was pretty good.
Remember you don't want a wide tire for snow, tall and narrow is best.
The AWD was great, without the little bit of slip around the corners that I'm used to with pure 4WD.
I didn't try it in anything over 6", at that point I use the F-150, which is why I don't put winter tires on the CR-V.

This.

Always look what the guys in professional racing do for specific needs:

Very few professional racers race on snow, at least not with passenger cars.
Though I did once know a fellow who raced motorcycles on frozen lakes.

Thanks for this. I am curious to see how much has changed on my new CRV and how it computes in the snow. The RAV 4 does have a 'Snow' button. The CRV does not. But then again I wonder if its Honda being smart about knowing their target demographic.
I put winter tires my my vehicles in the autumn onwards. It makes a big difference when there is a big dump of snow, or in compact snow. Much more confidence in stopping, turning, and setting off. Also in -20c the rubber does not harden as much. Driving a manual made a big difference as I engine braked a lot and feathered the clutch when taking off to feel the grip. I am rather excited to see how the new beast handles. But I dont think I will be putting skinny tires on mine. The most I race in that weather is to McDonalds to grab a cheeseburger. 🤣

We have owned our '20 Touring FWD NON Hybrid for 1 year and 5 months. Not ONE single issue. It does exactly what it was designed and purchased for... we use it as a daily commuter for my wife. Overall fuel economy is at 35 mpg, calculated. The car's display reports (36.2 mpg UPDATED) mpg higher. Great car. No complaints.

Overall fuel economy is just at 35 mpg, calculated The car's display reports (XX) mpg higher. (I will update with that amount when my wife gets home) Great car. No complaints.
If I was still doing daily commutes on the highway I'd likely have gone with the 1.5T as well.
But the Hybrid suits my retired lifestyle. Mostly in-town, occasional highway trips.
Nice that we can still get both, for now. :)

I run with snowtires, got them at tirerack and went with -1 on rim size and narrower tires. Very capable in snow,

Awesome picture! :) Nobody try do that with there CRV! :p

Do they also put spikes on those tires to manage ice patches or just full-on drive and steer through it?

I ask because in Minnesota rally racing on frozen lakes is a popular hobby for some. And my understanding from friends who do this hobby, they have use spiked tires for the traction on ice.

How did you replace the interior lights with LEDs? Thanks!
