I wouldn’t be surprised if dealers are putting synthetic blend while charging you for synthetic oil change. Next time I will be sure to ask them if they are using synthetic blend or full synthetic. Then again the only sure way is to do it yourself.

Does 0w20t oil mean full synthetic oil? Just got it changed at the Honda dealer and that’s what the invoice says. And does it matter if it’s synthetic or synthetic blend just as long as it’s 0w20? I checked our owners manual and it only specifies it as 0w20, doesn’t specify synthetic or synthetic blend.
all 0-20 is synthetic.

please check out the earlier comments, it has been discussed 0w20 comes in both synthetic blend and full synthetic. I also thought all 0w20 were full synthetics. Our manual just specifies 0w20 — so both synthetic blend and full synthetics should be acceptable for our vehicle. However service centers need to be clear whether they are using synthetic blend or full synthetic.
