2019 CRV TOURING 7500 miles

On three occasions after turning off the CRV in our garage the parking break has engaged on its own. Any ideas why? Anyone else had this occur?

Do you use the Brake Hold function, If so you need to read the attached page from your manual.

Looks like the auto parking brake feature is turned on, which automatically applies the parking brake when the ignition is shut off. On vehicles with an ignition key, the shift lever must be in Park before the key can be removed. But with push button start, this safety feature is lost, making it easier to shut down the engine and exit the vehicle without shifting to Park. The auto PB feature prevents the vehicle from rolling in this situation.

You can turn this feature on/off as shown on P. 524 of the 2019 Owners Manual.
