We call the CRV the curve because that is what the letters sound like when you try and say them.

Inside the family, the CRV Hybrid is mostly called the Honda. For the outside world it's known as Blanda, (long form: Blanda Generica) which is more of a nickname, and it's it (neutral gender) - unlike other autos in the family, who have always had more anthropomorphous names.
