Can pin stripe tape be put on the lower cladding? I’m considering putting a single stripe near the top. Your suggestions and comments please.

I don't see why not (I've applied striping tape to plastic pieces in the past).

As usual, PREPARATION is the key. Whatever you clean the cladding with before-hand, make sure it doesn't discolor the plastic! (Try it on a less-visible spot, first.)

And after you apply the stripe, clean any residue afterwards with soap & water (in case leftover chemicals affect the plastic, later).

I've used 91% isopropanol alcohol, tho' on painted surfaces and metal I use Brake Cleaner.

If you have EVER used a black treatment (303, Turtle ICE, ArmorAll) MAKE SURE you get it all off. NOTHING sticks to that stuff! :wtf:

Try alcohol wipes, most items containing adhesive tape for mounting have them included in the packaging and the instructions say to wipe the surface with them before applying the part or tape.
