Planning to buy a 2012 CR-V Ex-L AWD and really looking to get nice tires for winter along with it.

Can anyone report on suggestions for utilizing the Plus zero, one, or two options for increasing snow traction?

Will buy new wheels to go with it, and swap out the current tires/wheels for the other 3 seasons.

Sorry guys, I thought I'd be able to go back and edit/delete the previous posts... But I guess thats not how the forum rules here work.

My main question here is, how safe is it to do the "plus x", will it harm any aspects of the CR-V mechanics, and does anyone here have any recommendations about the specific sizes or options available within each of the plus x options.

I bought new wheels for my summer set and used the OE alloys for my winter set. The attached pic is of my summer wheels and tires

I wouldn't plus size winter tires, extra cost for no gain. If you buy wheels for the winter tires vs. using the OE's, you may want to go down 1" in size. 16" will fit and will save a little $$.
