I have a 2014 CRV LX so it came with 16 inch steel wheels. I want to put 18 inch alloy rims on it with 225/60/18 tires. Does anyone know of any issues that may arise from this move?

Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Looking at tirerack.com it doesn't seem to be an issue putting on 18's in terms of fitment.

The 18's will have some impact on acceleration and braking over the 16's, the ride and handling will be more affected by tire choice. Unless you go with a racing type light weight wheel, they will weigh more than your current set up, which affects the before mentioned dynamics.

LOL no you don't need any of that. The tire size you specified for the 18s, would probably be the exact same diameter as the 16s. So assuming you get wheels with the same or very close to the same offset, it really be no difference. There would of course be a difference in handling and how it felt and how it rides. The differences there come down to personal likes and dislikes.

Just look at the touring edition of the 15-16. Yup 18 inch rims.
