Hello everyone!

I was all set to buy a 2019 CR-V EX today but last night I came across the oil dilution issue and it's got me worried. When I zeroed in on the CR-V my car-knowledgeable friends told me to pay the slight premium for the EX rather than the getting the base LX. But, now I'm back to the LX because reliability/dependability are my foremost priorities. Help!

2018 with the turbo here. NO oil dilution in my case, nor in the other two CRVs in my circle of family and friends. My oil level does not rise, and my heater is blowing warm air before I reach the end of my driveway. I'm very happy with my 2018 AWD Touring!

I think you would be smart to purchase the LX over the EX. You will be giving up the Honda sensing suite and Apple Car play/Android car play but since longevity and reliability are your main concerns you will meet those goals. If I had a do-over we'd be driving a Mazda CX-5 rather than the CR-V EX with it's potential oil dilution issues. Happy shopping!
