Power Seat Issue in 2018 CRV EXL Model

Hello Honda CRV Community,

I have 2018 CRV EXL model.

I just can't find resources online that shows some sort of guidance into finding and fixing the problem I have with the power seat.

The problem is that my 2018 CRV power seat on the driver side forward and backward mechanisms isn't functional. Other mechanisms is working fine.

I like to also point out that the whole switch panel which has adjustment buttons has came out. So that's something I need to fix as well.

I am torn between two options: either purchasing a whole new seat or attempting to identify and repair the exact problem myself. However, the suggestion provided by a local auto mechanic was to acquire a complete seat, which carries a hefty price tag of $500 or more.

As a first-time poster, I come to this community seeking any advice, tips, or resources that may help me resolve this issue. I greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in guiding me towards a suitable solution.

You could check if you have power and ground to the motor under the seat that controls this. Would you be familiar on how to do that?

I'm not too much familiar with it.

Generic video, but if your not capable of doing this stuff, seek assistance. Make sure switch is not broken and wires intact.

Is there some reason you can't bring it to the dealer?

My nearest dealer has labor rate of $160 plus diagnostic fee.

That sounds cheaper than a whole new seat..................

Forgot to mention it’s $160 per hour, diagnostic fee plus the parts fee and I have to wait hours to get more information to know if they can fix the problem or do I have to get a new seat.
If the buttons have come out then why? Maybe it’s at that end is the problem.

It’s the panel that keep the button intact has came out and it seems like the hinges that clicks to the seat has been broken.

I don’t understand by “Maybe it’s at the end is the problem.”
Make sure switch is not broken and wires intact.
Pretty much this.
