hello from Italy :) ,

I want to install a front camera on my crv 2014.
I need a power supply close to the front glass. it must be switched on by the key.
I want to find it in the front internal light box but i do not know how to open it without breaking it.
does anyone know how to disassemble?
does anyone know if there is an under key power inside the light box?

or better: has anyone already find the best solution for this work?

thank you
Filo

I installed a dashcam on my last 2014 and got power from the lighting assembly area you have pictured.

If you look at the assembly you removed, there are flat "tracks" to distribute the power, I soldered my power supply directly to these tracks. If you tie into the line that powers the lights, you can get power as soon as you unlock your doors, and cut off the power when you lock the doors. It will stay on as long as the car is on, but if you unlock the doors and don't start the car, you only get about a minute of power because the lights will be shut off automatically by the car.

The pinout escapes me, but it is easy to check if you have a voltage meter.

I opted for a solution without wire splicing. I simply tapped into an existing fuse spot, and ran a wire across the headliner. It looks extremely clean, and now wire splices!

Fuse spot ACC is the one I used. Turns on only with ignition power.
