Now that it is put back together it seems to be sucking way more air then it should and starving for fuel. All the gaskets seem to be good ( good exhaust color/smell, no leaks, etc). spark plugs are good other then I can tell I'm burning a little bit of oil and they are to hot hence why I think it is starving for fuel. It is definitely at TDC with cams, distributer and oil pump. Valves are adjusted properly and everything seems to be in the right place ( vacuum hoses, fuel lines and all connector are plugged in). I am not throwing any codes or that would be the first thing I checked. Any ideas or questions pls let me know

Just for everyone's info, it is a 1997.
Are you using the recommended NGK spark plugs (NGK 2262 ZFR5F-11 V-Power Plug)?
Have you changed the fuel filter? Fuel pressure? O2 sensors OK and their connections clean and secure?
Recheck vacuum lines and PCV operation.
Compression check?
What was the reason for the head gasket change?
