Well I went through two brand new radiators in one year. I was totally confused. So I was searching the net and found out that the old model CRV take 0.9 radiator cap rating. I had a 1.1 cap on. It caused too much pressure and made the radiator leak from the seals. So never put a 1.1 cap on the CRV or it will cause the radiator to fail. I learned it the hard way.

Thanks for the head's up! Out of curiosity, how / where did you procure the wrong cap? Did it come with the radiator or did you pick up a visually similar cap from an auto parts store?

Yup all new model cars have the 1.1 cap on them. My friend has a 2013 corolla and its has 1.1 cap. 0.9 is old technology now.
