Impact guns that have good torque do work great BUT if you put an extension on them, they lose a lot of that impact ability. The extension flexes. That's how torque sticks were invented so mechanics can't hammer down your Lug nuts. If they have a set of torque sticks.

When the dealer screws up the drain plugs on diff plugs, they just get out the silicone or a bigger bolt..

How do I know, both my crvs the drain plug is screwed up, you don’t need a impact gun to tighten these bolts

So guys, after procrastinating for a couple months, I finally got around to doing this again. The floor jack idea worked great! Turns out the fill bolt head wasn't really stripping, I just had to hammer the extension in further for it to grab; my mistake. That fill bolt is in a bit of a tight spot for people with big hands.

@Japspec the rachets we use, can easily cause that glad the floor jack method was a charm. we appreciate the return for sure, good luck on the next one

Thanks guys! Yep wanted to come back and update everyone because I can't even tell you how many times I was searching for a solution to a problem, but the OP never comes back and posts about what works. So anyone who is reading this in the future, try the floor jack method, it worked for me!
