I've lost a small part of the rear Spring. Just wondering how easy it is to replace the spring. I've done a front shock with a friend it wasn't too bad a job. Main dealer quoted nearly £300, specialist was half that but a spring is probably £30 so considering DIY.

Cheers

What year is it? My G2 rears were a pain because the rear strut bolt fused to the bushing, something which is actually pretty common, at least with my generation V anyway. I had to cut the bolt on either side of the bushing then grind and chisel the nut because its spot welded. I'd say 1st & foremost, soak the bolt in penetrating oil & see if it gives. If it does, do it yourself. Should be pretty straight forward... harder than the fronts but doable. If it doesn't, you still could do it yourself, but it might be a pain like I just described. Just be careful of those springs. They freak me out a bit.
