Be sure that you haven't blocked the mirror's light sensor.

Is it on the mirror or elsewhere? Parking or vehicle ID sensors stuck onto the back of the mirror, blocking the little hole, will make it sense that it is always dark outside.

Here's the part in the manual where it talks about the mirror.
I actually find that the mirror dims even in bright daylight if I had my windshield sunblock cover opened up. But once I take it down, the mirror goes back to normal. Weird thing is, the sunblock cover is nowhere near the sensor. So I wonder if there's another sensor on the dash towards the windshield.

2016 touring is there any way of turning this feature off seems to be on all the time
Are you certain the mirror is the issue? I ask because the rear window is tinted and compared to my old car, the rear tint is very noticeable.

It does shut off during the day now that I checked but is there a way to shut it off sometimes I just don't need it on
