Hi all, I've done quite a bit of searching here and on YouTube, but I need more help...

My 2007 CR-V rear wiper doesn't work well (slow, stops at random places, etc). Clearly I need to replace the motor. I'm comfortable with that.

My problem is that I can't for the life of me get the inside rear trim pieces off. In particular, that top piece seems to be a real pain to get off. I have real trim removal tools. I found one YouTube video that shows the pieces already off the car so I can see those inner clips, but nothing that clearly shows the technique for removing that top piece. All I've done so far is hurt my hand. I'm ready to get out the Sawzall already.

Anybody have any tips on getting those inner tailgate trim pieces off?

Well, I got it off, but not as planned. It is warm here but I still broke a finger nail and the clip and receiver on one end of that top piece. We'll see if goes back in without becoming a rattle disaster.
